Our service team is made up of Servers, Food Runners, Floor Leads, and Bartenders committed to delivering a service experience that exceeds your expectations. These professionals deserve a year-round wage that is both balanced and rewarding.
At The Crescent Hotel, we have created a new compensation model for our service team that shares gratuity but also guarantees an hourly wage in all months softening the highs and lows of service work. This model does not put an additional burden on you, the customer; instead, it redevelops job duties and shares traditional revenue across the entire front-of-the-house service team. This new model is simple but different.
On your check, you will see that an 18% gratuity (industry standard) has been automatically posted.
This is a gratuity and will be shared in its entirety to your front-of-the-house service team (Server, Bartender, Floor Leads, Food Runners).
If service exceeds this standard, you can reward your server with an additional gratuity. ALL additional gratuities will remain with your server
If the service misses your expectation, we will make it right. Without question, our floor lead will reduce the 18% gratuity to your preferred total.
All gratuities collected are paid to the service team. The Hotel, Salaried Managers, or Kitchen employees are not eligible nor included.
